Fed-up of Facebook? Moaning at Myspace? Social networking fatigue may have set in. In the US, users of sites like MySpace, Bebo and Facebook are logging in less, and spending less time on the site when they do, new research shows. While the overall number of users continues to rise, the time people spend on the sites is falling. Some experts say "in-your-face" ads are partly to blame, as are spam friend messages, annoying third-party applications, and the fact lots of workplaces are banning employees from looking at the sites in work time. |
