´óÏó´«Ã½ Education, Wales

Education for all is core to the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s mission and purpose. Our vision as ´óÏó´«Ã½ Education is to transform lives through education.

What we do

We commission and produce English and Welsh language resources for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Bitesize, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Teach and educational campaigns. ´óÏó´«Ã½ Bitesize is our flagship educational website offering educationally approved, curriculum relevant self-study and home-learning to 3–16-year-olds. It began in 1999 as a GCSE resource and now includes over 20,000 web pages of curriculum-related content for Primary and school-aged pupils in both English and Welsh. We also have social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok), games and support content which includes a parent toolkit to help with health and wellbeing. Our mission is to help every child and young person in the UK to achieve their learning potential.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Teach is a dedicated teaching resource site which aims to support teachers by curating the best ´óÏó´«Ã½ videos, clips, and other curriculum-related resources for use in the classroom. We also deliver curriculum linked programming through ´óÏó´«Ã½ Teach and Live Lessons, addressing societal and educational deficits within the UK by acting as a leader of strategic partnerships aimed at effecting tangible change.

What is on offer

We commission short films and animation for a range of subjects as well as written content, graphics, and some interactive content. Typically, a ´óÏó´«Ã½ Education brief will ask for a particular content format across a single area of focus. The tender documents, which are a mixture of emailed briefs but predominantly published on the commissioning website detail a specific set of deliverables against agreed educational learning objectives.

In addition to advertised commissioning opportunities, we are always interested to hear new ideas that can help with our commitment to provide quality educational resources. These speculative ideas only need to be on an A4 page and cover the subject area, target age group/key stage and a brief explanation of the curricula need. These should be emailed to the education commissioner in Wales in the first instance, Nia M Davies.

Our diversity and inclusion commissioning guidelines

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Education diversity and inclusion commissioning guidelines set out how we will work with suppliers to meet our ambitions for diversity and inclusion. Please consult these guidelines when responding to any of our commissioning briefs.
