Assisi

Assisi Animal Sanctuary cares for, and rehomes, unwanted and stray companion animals.

Listen again to the Radio Ulster Appeal on behalf of Assisi Animal Sanctuary

Assisi has been rescuing, looking after, and rehoming unwanted and stray companion animals for over 25 years.

Each animal that comes into the sanctuary receives lots of care and attention - something that Assisi provides for as long as it takes to find them their ‘forever home’.

Assisi also offers practical support that allows people to keep their pets at home. This includes ‘pet food parcels’ for owners who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Assisi is wholly funded by the local community and its work is made possible by donations, and income from the charity’s shops. It also depends on fundraising events organised by volunteers and practical gifts of blankets and towels for the animals in their care.
