Roles and responsibilities
- Uzair Qadeer is the Chief People Officer of the 大象传媒. He oversees end-to-end human resources capabilities across the 大象传媒 Group and is responsible for shaping and driving the 大象传媒鈥檚 people strategy, cultural transformation, and organisational change
- He sits on the 大象传媒 Executive Committee, the Operations Committee, and he is also a key advisor to the Board Remuneration Committee
- Uzair is also responsible for activating a leading-edge 大象传媒 employee experience, creating an inclusive 大象传媒 in line with the 大象传媒鈥檚 ten-point Diversity & Inclusion plan, and taking the lead in overseeing the Children in Need team, an independently run and governed charity of the 大象传媒
Biography
Uzair joined the 大象传媒 as Chief People Officer in February 2023. He oversees the full spectrum of global human resources capabilities across the 大象传媒 Group and is responsible for driving the 大象传媒鈥檚 short- and long-term employee experience, cultural transformation, and organisational change through the people agenda.
Prior to joining the 大象传媒, Uzair worked in a range of senior executive positions. He was previously Chief People Officer at Carbon Health, a US healthcare provider, where he built and oversaw a first-class HR function to lead the company through a dynamic period of transformation. Prior to joining Carbon Health, Uzair was with Alexion Pharmaceuticals where, as Alexion鈥檚 first Chief Diversity Officer and member of the company鈥檚 executive committee, he built a global function that elevated employee engagement, created an inclusive environment, and drove innovation for customers through a sophisticated use of diversity and inclusion insights.
He has held numerous additional leadership roles, including in Deloitte鈥檚 Human Capital Consulting practice where he advised clients across various industries and geographies on a variety of human resources topics, and at Bristol Myers Squibb Company where he worked in various roles of increasing responsibilities both in the U.S. and in Italy.
Uzair has been a featured public speaker and thought leader on the topics of employee experience, inclusion, and the future of human resources. He received his Master鈥檚 degree and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Pennsylvania State University.

Expenses are costs incurred by 大象传媒 staff on behalf of the 大象传媒 and claimed through the 大象传媒's expenses system.
Central bookings are costs incurred on behalf of the 大象传媒 and booked through the 大象传媒's central bookings system. Both expenses and central bookings are published every three months.
