When the game boy was introduced it didn't have the many of the features the Atari lynx had like backlit screen, colour graphics and network capabilities.however it's cheaper price and longer battery life made it the top selling hand held console of 1989. this changed gaming, now people could play video games on the bus, at the post office, in the hospital and more.
