Compass

Contributed by Radio producer

This is a P4 compass, which dates from before the Second World War. It is a very rare item and would have sat in the cockpit of aircraft flying missions in the Battle of the Atlantic - the anti-submarine war. I am a WW2 enthusiast. Looking back to those days takes you back to a time when people helped one another; they had such spirit and camaraderie and many made the ultimate sacrifice. Contributed by John McFarline at the AHOW event in Enniskillen Library.
