This beautiful gold brooch dates from the 1400s and was wound in 2006. It was purchased by Warrington Museum & Art Gallery in 2008 with grant aid from the British Museum after being declared as treasure. One side has clasped hands and the inscription "pensez de moy" which means "think of me". The reverse has five small flowers that look like forget-me-nots. This would have been an expensive love token that someone must have been very unhappy to lose.
