Axe from Old Newton, Suffolk

Peter Robinson was digging in his garden and found a flint axe believed to have been made 6,000 years ago. It was smoothed down and used to clear the land to make way for farmland where Old Newton now stands.

Peter says it shows how long there has been a community in that part of Suffolk.
