Struan Teapot

Contributed by Struan

This toy teapot was submitted by a pupil for the relic challenge-this is their story:

In 1911 Margaret MacLeod was a pupil at Struan school.Margaret was a new pupil and she was lonely as she knew no one there. She was 7 years old (we have found her name in an old school register).

This present pupil's Great Granny gave her this toy teapot to cheer her up.
As an adult Margaret left Totarder,Struan in 1923 taking her teapot with her.
In 1985 the teapot was given to the pupil's Granny by Margaret's family after her death.
The story of this relic has now been shared with the present generation of pupils at our school.
The story attached to the teapot is one of a kind deed that has not been forgotten.
