Radio 2 Live is being produced with environmentally positive production methods. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ has a particular duty to do everything it can to keep our environmental impact to a minimum. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ is committed is to being net zero in terms of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Our priorities are to calculate and to reduce our environmental footprint of all our Live Event activities and to reduce emissions from our supply chain and event partners.

Everyone working on this event including ´óÏó´«Ã½ staff, presenters, event contributors and contractors are requested to follow the Sustainability policy – it will help reduce our environmental impact and contribute to the overall success of the event.

In keeping with these goals we would like you, the ticket holders, to consider the following for the event:

  • Please consider using low-carbon transport options, such as trains and other shared transport to Leeds City Centre and shuttle buses or public transport to the event site at Temple Newsam Park.
  • Remember to bring a reusable (non-glass) water bottle and refill it at the water points provided around the site.
  • We have a no single-use plastic policy and our food traders will provide alternatives such as compostable cutlery and serveware, and bottles made from recycled content instead.
  • At certain food traders you will be able to check the carbon footprint of meals, giving you the chance to choose a low-carbon meal.
  • We aim to increase the event’s overall recycling rate and ask you to separate your waste into the bins provided onsite.
