Vespertine came into being in September 2004, when ex-heckler front-woman Hayley Martin hooked up with Matt Hanson, Tad MacDonald, Dan Western and Kennerdeigh Scott - a collaboration of experienced musicians from Berkshire and London who had been seeking a new singer. On the 11th November 2004, Vespertine hit the music scene with their debut electric set at The Star, Guildford, which was met with rapturous applause. Based in Newbury, Vespertine鈥檚 well-constructed rock sound can be seen as influenced by many artists including Coheed & Cambria, AFI, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, Skunk Anansie, A Perfect Circle, Massive Attack, Thrice, Alanis Morrisette, The Meters and many more. Vespertine are gigging extensively in the areas of Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey and beyond, with a set of original material including tracks from the bands three track e.p, 鈥淔or Felicity鈥 recorded in November 2004 鈥淥ne of the UK鈥檚 hottest new female fronted bands - a must see鈥
