Mighty Man

You'd better watch out, cos Mighty Man is about, and this MC certainly has something to shout about. Find out below about this artist who draws influences from Jamaica and New York.

Mighty Man is a versatile MC.听 He's been playing around on the mic since the age of 10 when as a kid he spent time back in his mother's homeland of Jamaica.听 There he was influenced to chat.听 He came back home to the UK and continued till the age of 13.听 He returned to mic ten years later, freestyling at numerous cyphers around his hometown, Reading.

When he returned to Jamaica he was so impressed with the rawness of the MCing there that he had to incorporate it with his own ferocious style.听 Mighty Man travels from the UK to New York on regular basis and it was the vibe there that really inspired him to take his music more seriously.

Since his first taste of that vibe back in the early millennium he has written numerous of tracks and started performances:

Hosting the Purple Turtle hip hop nights alongside Cypher 6, another local Hip hop band

Magic Eye Promotion: Hosting the Vocal Rooms, giving local talent the opportunity to rhyme at a local venue once a month.听 Much of the material was televised.

Supported Virgo (another Magic Eye artist) when Virgo was hosting the Hip Hop Shop.

At last positive messages and on point lyrical content!! British MTV and Radio Stations need more Artists like MightyMan to help show the youth and adults alike of today that there is more to Rap music than bling,fast cars,money,violence and big booty girls in the videos!!!
