Blind To (previously 'Blind 2 Reality') are a five-piece rock/metal act based in Berkshire, who have been writing and performing their own music since 2001. Winners of the 2002 Reading Battle Of The Bands and both the 2003 and 2004 BukandSkit National Battle Of The Bands, Blind To have already been granted a huge amount of interest from local listeners and supporters from their live performances and their current E.P.

- The Slough and Windsor Observer, January 2004 With their debut album, Promising Dreams Selling Nightmares, now completed, and available from the website (www.blindto.co.uk) and at gigs, Blind To are eager to find labels and agencies to help promote this new material. All of the members of Blind To have been previously involved in other bands covering such genres as (Punk, Rock, Pop, Thrash) some of which have seen interest from labels such as EMI and Sanctuary Records and they鈥檝e all known each other for years through school, work and gigs. Their musical influences are a broad bag with a mixture of grunge, metal (Deftones, A Perfect Circle, Machine Head), death/heavy metal (Kill Switch Engage, Slayer), punk (Strung Out, Five Knuckle) and a sprinkling of hip-hop (Jehst). This gives their music a selection of heavy riffs with intelligent melodies, tight breaks and racing drums. Dynamic build-ups and technical bridges are completed with roaring vocals of Tim and the seductive singing of Maxwell.

Their lyrical content is split between emotional pressures, political grievances and society's madness in general. Their live performances have been described as "tight as f**k" and "heavy, without ever losing groove", to mention just some. Major bands that they've played with include Skinlab, Sikth, Kill II This, One Dice, The Kennedy Soundtrack, Miocene, Labrat, Jessie James, Capdown, Oceansize, Reuben, Twinzero and Age Of Ruin. Their gigs have taken them across the country: London, Brighton, Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol, Wolverhampton, Northampton, Margate and more. Major venues include The Underworld, The Garage, The Dublin Castle, The Telegraph, Sound, The Roadmender, Fez Club (Reading), The White Horse (High Wycombe) Now set to unleash their dynamic sound and awesome live performance on to a much wider audience, they're seeking help with bookings/ promotion/ distribution to help them achieve the success they are capable of. |
