What makes you laugh?

What鈥檚 your most embarassing moment on air?

"Fairly recent. I leaned over the desk to adjust a guest's microphone and sat back on a chair that was only one eighth there. I spun backwards and was dumped onto the floor with a real Goon Show crash. The guest said: 'Oh dear,he's fallen out of his chair. Never mind, I'll carry on!'"

"As a cricket lover - the prettiest ground in Berkshire - Finchampstead."

What are your most memorable jobs before working for 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire?

"Samuel Barber's Adagio For Strings and the Rodgers and Hart song 'There's a Small Hotel'."

Wow ! I saw Eydie Kent's request for 'Blackberry Winter', which indeed was on the basck of 'The Yellow Rose of Texas', and sung by Bernadine Read ( words and music by Edith Lindeman & carl Stutz)...I just gave away a copy of it on an old Columbia 78 rpm record. If I find another, I'll reconnect....Chuck

hi anglea ad bill always enjoy the show. brings back memories, of childhood when radio was king. not too long ago.we didnt have a t.v until the very late 50s.so mnny of the songs played are like old friends.as i grew up presley became king as to so many.but ido like my old songs. do you remember mitch miller?i think one of his most famous songs was the yellow rose of texas.but its the other side i would like to hear if you can find it. blackberry winter. i did find a copy on ebay. but didnt order it. my friend roseann is 60 on 2nd september. me i join the buss pass gang in april. if you could find this record it would be wondeful to hear it again.of course elvis always goes down well.but not the usual.i like most of the othe great songs. from the elvis is back cd. i will be home again. is a lovely song. it reminds me of two way family favorites. i think even now it will tug at heartstrings. more sofor our brave chaps serving over seas. again i would be grateful if you could play it on one of your programmes. i work the nihgt in a care home so not always able to listen to all of the programme. but enjoy what i hear. thanks again. best wishes to you both sincerely eydie kent.

Avril and Maurice Hassett, Guelph, Canada
It is some time since we have been in touch but we are still listening here in Guelph - wouldn't miss it, although sometimes there are problems with the internet. On the 10th May our dear friend, Les Peckham from Hartley Wintney, celebrates his three score years and ten birthday and we wonder if you could please play MEET A HAPPY GUY sung by, (who else?) GUY MITCHELL. The sentiments sum up our friend to a T and we would very much appreciate it if you could do this for us. We hope you are both keeping well - you are certainly making us happy!Warmest regardsAvril and Maurice

Steve Kidd
Hi Bill and Angela, I listen to your show every week and really enjoy the music. I think it's particularly good because it's often tunes that we don't hear elsewhere. I hope you don't mind my asking, but in the past I've heard you play a song that goes 'I See the Moon, the moon sees me... Please let the light that shines on me shine on the one I love.' by a group who I think are called The Stargazers (but that could just be my imagination!) My nan used to play that for me when I was a lad over 30 years ago ago and I hadn't heard it for years until you played it one night. I have very fond memories of her and they would all come flooding back if you were able to play it. Many thanks for your wonderful programme. Steve Kidd

John Connor
Hi Angela I believe you requested I contact you regarding an e-mail I sent looking for a record called 'Hands of Time' by Neil Sedaka, as my mum is trying to obtain a copy. I would be grateful if you could let me know where to get it. Many thanks John. jconnor@supanet.com
