Broken Tail Records first launched onto the Berkshire bands scene with a split single featuring Ben Marwood and Heartwear Process.

Now, like Gremlins, they've doubled their forthcoming release to include not only Ben and Heartwear, but also Alan MX and Wookies.

The aptly-named Four By Four is out in all good record shops and online stores on Monday 16 July. And they are celebrating their quartet of quintessential listening with a bit of a do on Friday 27 July.

BEN MARWOOD听听听

Ben is endowed with a lyrical sharpness enjoyed by the likes of Bright Eyes and Tom McRae. He is a fan of pop-song writing, self-deprecation and lo-fi-anti-folk in equal measures. His songs have become a strange combination of humour and bitterness, targeting anything from the听OC and Chav vocabulary to broken hearts and subsequent attempts at revenge. He is great.

Heartwear Process

The five headed-intelligent-powered-thought provoking-music machine deliver music for the head, the soul and very much the heart.

They're bacl at their favourite local venue. It is their Wembley. Heartwear Process are deemed one of the best kept secrets in UK music and they contribute to Four By Four their live favourite and classic Humble Pie. It slays you with every note. Think Nick Cave rucking with Arcade Fire.

He is a failed film maker, retired pro wrestler and full-time geek. He is as unique an act as any other with the same name. He started writing and playing in early 2000 which has lead him to playing Reading Festival in 2006.

Damien plays country with a dose of high comedy. Hillbillie wedding anyone?
