Solicitors, trainees, secretaries, partners and support staff at Clifton Ingram all听 dressed up as their favourite children's characters to raise money for Children In Need.听 They collected donations from their clients and the Wokingham public 鈥 heading out into the high street at lunch time.听 They also ran a 鈥渂est dressed鈥 competition and all benefited from the partners serving tea, coffee and cakes (in exchange for a donation to CIN of course!). Trainee solicitor Stuart Adams said: "We were even fortunate enough to speak to Debbie McGee live on 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire!" Forest Park Toddler Group in Bracknell created this giant hand-and-foot-painted Pudsey and raised 拢1097.22! Transport Research Laboratory near Wokingham held a Pennies For Pudsey campaign. They built a giant Pudsey out of coppers, with five pence pieces on the face, and stuck giant coloured spots everywhere, with some Pudsey balloons for extra oomph.听 Pennies for Pudsey! They also had a 'spotty cake' sale. A rough count shows that they raised 拢675 on Friday 15 November - 拢190 of which came from the Pudsey! Kate Wall wrote in to say that she sold bacon rolls and sausage sandwiches outside Parsons Down junior School in Thatcham. She said: "Many thanks to staff, pupils, parents, neighbours and family. We raised 拢150." Warfield C of E primary school had a cake sale on Friday 14 November. Children had to make cakes at home and bring them in for the sale. After school everyone came into one of the classrooms and bought cakes for 50p or more. Pupils also enjoyed a wear-your-school-uniform-back-to-front-and-inside-out day! They paid a pound each and brought in their teddies. They estimate they have made around 拢200. On Friday 14 November 13-year-old Sam Birks and James Pitt ran 10 km for Children In Need. Ratcliffe, Duce and Gammer solicitors in Wokingham spent the day writing people's wills. Instead of paying clients were asked to make a donation to Children in Need. Clients were also provided with tea and doughnuts for an extra contribution while they waited for their wills to be ready to sign.听 Not only did it provide a good source of fundraising, but prompted some people to make wills who otherwise would not have done so. Slough's Snakes and Ladders Mascot, Bertie the Bear sported his Pudsey bandana on Friday 14 November to host an evening of fun and fundraising for Children in Need. All based around cuddly icon Pudsey bear, youngsters joined the Pudsey Bear Treasure Hunt, took part in Pudsey's lucky dip and entered a fun colouring competition. Pottery Pals ceramic studio in Wokingham held Pudsey Bear painting days. On Thursday 13 November they were at a local school where 180 children painted Pudsey Bears en masse. The studio then travelled to the Children's Ward at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Friday 14 November for another painting session. Cox Green School in Maidenhead held a Tug of War - Sixth Form Students against Teachers. The Broomsquire Hotel, Tadley is holding a 24-hour pool/snooker marathon in aid of Children In Need. Starting at 7pm on Friday 14 November, and they hope to raise over 拢500. Want to take part? Get in the cue... Sandford Springs Golf Club held its sixth annual Children in Need golf day on Friday 14 November. Last year, Sandford Springs raised nearly 拢3,000 for the Children In Need. On Friday 14 November Amie and other students from Bracknell and Wokingham College dressed up and collecting donations in Bracknell town centre. Members of the Newbury Round Table collected money for Pudsey in fancy dress. Christian embarked on two days of silence during school hours at Prospects School in Tilehurst on 13 and 14 November. Louise from Thatcham will be zipping it all day on Saturday 15 November.听 She's taking part in a sponsored silence and won't be able to utter a word anywhere she goes. Good luck! The Cable and Wireless office in Bracknell听 held a 'toy' fancy dress event. Vision Vehicle Solutions in Maidenhead hosted a CIN event at Maidenhead Golf Club on Thursday 13 November. They held a quiz with 32 teams of five from businesses throughout the area. Chelsy and two of her school friends staged a sponsored silence at her school on Friday 14 November. Helen Manning from First Great Western held a Coffee and Pastry morning at Tilehurst Railway Station. Commuters need caffeine after all! Keith Warner and his work colleague Anna Kokocinska travelled around the entire Reading Monopoly Board for Children In Need. They both work for Kensington Mortgages at the Reading International Business Park, so they started at The Mad Stad, then onto Green Park, then headed to Reading Station, then Sonning Lane at Woodley, after that they'll be made their way towards the town centre, including Reading Prison and then towards Caversham. TVU Sports Therapy Students rowed the length of the River Thames (93 miles) on Concept 2 rowing machines in Asda shopping Centre - Lower Earley on Thursday 13 November 2008. Teams of up to five people entered for a 10, 000 metre relay challenge. Royal Berkshire Hospital Trust staff ran bric-a-brac stall and raffle in the hospital's reception. Danielle from Reading raised money by wearing her pyjamas at work all day. Sixth-formers from East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire are holding their third annual Sixth Form Charity Quiz Challenge.听 This year's event, which is hosted by local voluntary group, One World Party, will be held on 27 November 2008听at Altwood School in Maidenhead in aid of Children in Need, as well as some local charities which support children.
