Jonathan
said: "I'm delighted to have won this award and amazed that
they chose me, as it's only my first year of taking motor sport
photographs on a full-time basis.
"I
launched my own company 'Motorsport PR' last February and since
then have been supplying photographs for the rally newspaper Pacenotes.
"It's great to have received recognition for my hard work."

of Jonathan's winning photography
"My
dad John played a major part in me becoming interested in rallying
and photography. He has been following events for many years while
taking photographs as a hobby. When I was about 10 years old he
took me to an event - the rest is history!"
Professor Rod Pilling, head of the Media Department at Birmingham
Institute of Art and Design, said: "Jonathan has a passion
for motor sport and has developed into an accomplished photographer
very quickly.
