Pupils in the last year of primary school share their hopes and fears about secondary school. Some pupils worry about getting lost, making new friends or getting detention, whereas others feel they are ready for the move and have outgrown their primary school.
Tips:
Put yourself in your child鈥檚 shoes and think of what they are about to experience
Making friends can take time, so don't worry if your child hasn't settled into a friendship group immediately
Give them time and give them a place to hang out with friends when they want to
All concerns are normal and will pass in time
