It鈥檚 official: 2019 saw the end of the warmest decade on record.

Scientists and governments have been looking into what can be done to slow down and stop the Earth鈥檚 temperature from rising further, so we wanted to find out what some students thought would be the best solution to global warming, and what they would invent to help fix it.
Every decade since the 1980s has been warmer on average than the one before, and climate scientists are saying that the average global temperature has risen by one degree Celsius since the industrial revolution.
This is important because climate scientists say that when the entire Earth has warmed by two degrees, the impact will be huge. Nasa says that when the Earth gets to this point, there will be a much higher risk of forest fires, drought, and extreme weather events.
This is why people around the world, including famous teenage activist Greta Thunberg, are encouraging people everywhere to take action against global warming and climate change.
