We can live under the same roof as our parents and guardians for years, but how much do we really talk to them about the issues that concern us or shape us?
As part of Black History Month, Andrew Brown, a Maths teacher from Manchester - who you may recognise from the Bitesize Daily coverage on 大象传媒 iPlayer - sat down with his 16-year-old son Elijah to talk about their experiences. You can see their conversation in the video below.
Marking Black History Month provided an opportunity for Andrew and Elijah to discuss what events in black history they learnt about at school, and the people who inspired them. Their conversation also offers an insight into their experiences of racism. Here鈥檚 what they had to say.
