Speaker 1: Oh, here we go!
Speaker 2: OK, guys. The specials.
Speaker 1: Looks good.
Speaker 2: So we鈥檝e got sea bass with broccoli, feta cheese, mushroom Portobello and pineapple and ginger dressing. Finished with nice Romano pepper.
And the next one is pan-fried cod with bacon, potato, mushroom Portobello, white wine velout茅.
Speaker 1: Nice. Is there any allergens in this dish?
Speaker 2: Both dishes, er, they're not suitable for dairy-free.
Speaker 1: OK.
Speaker 2: And then this one is not suitable for gluten-free鈥 the cod.
Speaker 1: Oh, is it not gluten-free because of the flour it鈥檚 cooked with?
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah, OK, I get that. Nice.
Speaker 3: Would it be possible to do this one dairy-free?
Speaker 2: Definitely, if you let me know before I start cooking, yeah.
Speaker 4: Is there any particular wine you鈥檇 recommend with this dish?
Speaker 5: Because of the feta in the sea bass I would recommend the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
The acidity of the wine really cuts through the dairy in the dish, so it really makes it nicely balanced.
So if you'd like to try that now.
Speaker 1: Gooseberries, as well.
Speaker 4: It's lovely, yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good.
It's coated in flour before it's cooked. So it should have a nice little texture.
I do like that. The saltiness of the bacon cuts through the fish as well.
Speaker 5: Mmm. Nicely cooked.
Test your knowledge with this activity.
Speaker 1: Good Afternoon, folks. There's your menus.
Speaker 2: Thank you.
Speaker 3: Thank you.
Speaker 1: You're welcome. And our specials for today, we have the pan-fried cod fillets that comes with mushrooms, potatoes and a creamy white wine sauce.
And we also have the sea bass fillets, which are very nice.
They have a Romano pepper, mushrooms, and a pineapple and ginger dressing.
Speaker 3: Is there garlic in the sea bass?
Speaker 1: Er, I鈥檒l go check that with the chef for you while you're deciding.
Alright?
Speaker 2: Thanks a lot.
Speaker 1: No problem.
Chef! Is there garlic in the sea bass?
Speaker 4: Yes.
Speaker 1: Thank you.
Speaker 4: No worries.
Speaker 2: INDISTINCT CONVERSATION
Speaker 1: Hi, folks, just to let you know we do have garlic in the sea bass.
Speaker 3: OK, sure. We've decided I'm going to go with the cod.
Speaker 1: Excellent.
Speaker 3: And he'll have the sea bass with garlic.
Speaker 1: And the sea bass with garlic.
Can I recommend a wine to you folks?
We have the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, it goes very well with both the specials.
Speaker 2: Yeah. That'd be great, thank you.
Speaker 1: Yes? A bottle of that.
Speaker 1: No problem at all.
Speaker 1: You're welcome. Thank you very much.
Beautiful. You've outdone yourself, boss.
Speaker 4: Thank you very much. Thank you.
Speaker 1: (TO AUDIENCE) It鈥檚 really important to sell the specials, because there鈥檚 prizes for whoever sells the most.
Speaker 1: So, your cod鈥
Speaker 1: And your sea bass.
Speaker 2: Thank you. That looks amazing. Thanks a lot.
Speaker 1: Enjoy your meal.
Speaker 3: Thank you. This looks great!
