1 March is St David's Day, a day of celebrating Welsh heritage and culture.

St David - or Dewi Sant in Welsh - was born on the south-west coast of Wales, near to where the city of St Davids is today, and is the only native-born patron saint of Britain and Ireland. To mark the day, Welsh people around the world traditionally wear one or both of Wales' national emblems - a daffodil and a leek.
