Climate Graphs
Bar charts and line graphs can be combined. Climate graphs are an example of this.
The x-axis shows the months of the year and there are two y-axes to show average temperature and total rainfall (also known as precipitation). The temperature is shown as a line and the rainfall as bars.
When interpreting a climate graph, you should include:
- the highest and lowest rainfall figures and the month they occurred
- the total annual rainfall
- the average rainfall
- the highest and lowest temperature figures and the month they occurred
- the temperature range
- the average yearly temperature
