La Educaci贸n Secundaria en Espa帽a
La Educaci贸n Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO) es una etapa educativa obligatoria y gratuita que completa la educaci贸n b谩sica. Consta de cuatro cursos acad茅micos que se realizan entre los 12 y los 16 a帽os. No se hace un examen final, como los GCSE, pero durante el a帽o hay que aprobar la mayor铆a de las evaluaciones de las asignaturas que se estudian para poder obtener el t铆tulo de Graduado en Educaci贸n Secundaria.
Este t铆tulo te permite continuar con estudios de bachillerato o cursos de formaci贸n profesional. El bachillerato tiene una duraci贸n de dos a帽os y se pueden estudiar diferentes modalidades: Artes, Ciencias de la Naturaleza y la Salud, Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales y, por 煤ltimo, Tecnolog铆a. Es obligatorio aprobar todas las asignaturas para obtener el t铆tulo. El bachillerato te da acceso a la universidad o a cursos superiores de formaci贸n profesional. Si quieres ir a la universidad, debes hacer otro examen y, si apruebas con la nota que pide la universidad que has elegido, entonces puedes entrar.

Secondary Education in Spain
Secondary Education in Spain is a mandatory and free educational stage which completes the basic education. It consists of four academic courses between the ages of 12 and 16. You don鈥檛 have to do a final exam, as you do with the GCSE. However, you have to pass the majority of the assessments in all the subjects studied carried out throughout the year to achieve the compulsory secondary education title.
This title allows you to continue to study the 'bachillerato' (equivalent to the A-Levels) or you can do some vocational training. The 'bachillerato' lasts for two years and you can study different strands: Arts, Natural and Health Science, Humanities and Social Science and, finally, Technology. It is compulsory to pass all your subjects to achieve the title. The 'bachillerato' gives you access to university or to superior vocational training courses. If you want to go to university, you must do another exam and, if you pass it with the marks requested by the university that you have chosen, then you can enter it.
