Safety/Etiquette

This standard is based on you as the performer being able to be safe in an event while also showing good sportsmanship and etiquette.

It is also based on how well you can control your emotions as you are competing. An example of being safe in the event would be a footballer understanding that sliding off your feet in a tackle is an unsafe movement due to the increased potential for causing injury to an opponent.

A basketball player helps another one up

An example of showing good etiquette in a competition would be a basketballer offering to help a player up off the ground if he has been knocked over while competing for a jump ball.

Another example would be a performer making sure to shake hands with an opponent after a game, even if they have lost.

An example of being able to control your emotions would be a tennis player, after having lost a point, regaining their temper by walking away to towel off their grip instead of banging their racket into the ground.
