Now we combine multiplying out brackets and collecting like terms, to simplify algebraic expressions.
Simplify \(3(x - 2y) + 4x\)
\(= 3x - 6y + 4x\)
\(= 7x - 6y\)
Simplify \(3(x + y) + 2(x - y)\)
\(= 3x + 3y + 2x - 2y\)
\(= 5x + y\)
