Superlatives
superlativeA word that describes the most of something: the biggest, strongest, fastest. are used to compare things and say which one is the biggest, strongest, fastest, etc or the most/least. For example:
- Mi casa es la m谩s grande (My house is the biggest).
- Ana es la menos trabajadora (Ana is the least hardworking).
This is how to form superlatives:
Irregular superlatives
These superlatives are irregularSomething that does not follow regular patterns and may have a different form. and don't follow the same pattern, eg:
Es la peor asignatura (It's the worst subject).

- La pel铆cula es mala (The film is bad).
- Los bocadillos son deliciosos (The sandwiches are delicious).
- Las playas son buenas (The beaches are good).
- El estudiante es el m谩s/el menos inteligente (The student is the most/least intelligent).
- La pel铆cula es la peor (The film is the worst). Here, the irregular superlative la peor is used.
- Los bocadillos son los m谩s/menos deliciosos (The sandwiches are the most/least delicious).
- Las playas son las mejores (The beaches are the best). Here, the irregular superlative las mejores is used.
Absolute superlatives
If something is so amazingly good or bad that it can't be compared to anything, then you need the absolute superlative, eg las pizzas son grand铆simas (the pizzas are really, really big). This is formed by removing the final vowel from the adjectiveUsed to describe nouns and must agree with the nouns they are describing. (if there is one) and adding the ending -铆蝉颈尘辞 (or -铆sima/-铆蝉颈尘辞s/-铆simas) to make sure it agrees with the nounThe name of a thing such as an object, a place or a person. Nouns are often described as naming words.. For example:
bueno 鈫 buen铆simo
malo 鈫 mal铆simo
grande 鈫 grand铆simo
