Reading questions - describing where you live - Higher
When translating into English, it's important to make sure that what you have written makes sense. Try to avoid translating word for word and don't be afraid to make a logical guess at a word you may not know. Read each sentence carefully to work out the key message before you begin to translate.
Question
Xavi is talking about where he lives. Translate what he says into English:
I live in a semi-detached house with my family. When I was younger, I used to have to share my room with my sister, but now I need to have my own space. The worst thing is that there is no garden because I would like to have the opportunity to play outside the house. My parents have just built a garage, but this seems useless to me. If I had more money, I would have a swimming pool on the terrace.
