Refraction by a prism
The incident ray is Process by which a wave changes speed and sometimes direction upon entering a denser or less dense medium, eg a light ray changes direction when refracted by a lens. towards the normal as it enters the glass prism from air.
It is then refracted away from the normal at the boundary between glass and air as it leaves the prism.
