The atmospheric circulation system creates Earth's climate zones. The climate zones are represented on graphs by using maximum and minimum temperatures and precipitation data. There are five factors which together, affect climate. These are:
latitudeImaginary lines around the Earth running parallel to the equator. These are measured in degrees north or south of the equator.
altitudeA measure of an area's height above sea level.
winds
aspectThe location a place lies in relation to the sun.
distance from the sea
Climate is shown on a climate graph with temperature always as a line graph and precipitation always as a bar graph for each month of the year.
