Oisin and Alice are eating Easter Eggs.
NARRATOR: What are you two munching on?
OISIN/ALICE: Easter eggs!
NARRATOR: Of course, it鈥檚 Easter! Did you know that to Christians, Easter Sunday is the holiest day of the year?
*Oisin and Alice, still eating, shake their heads. *
NARRATOR: Well, do you know what Jesus and Easter eggs have in common?
OISIN: Did Jesus love chocolate too?
Alice rolls her eyes.
NARRATOR: Haha, maybe! To Christians, an egg is a symbol of new life, and Easter Sunday marks the resurrection of Jesus.
ALICE: What鈥檚 the resuc 鈥 restor 鈥
NARRATOR: The resurrection? Let鈥檚 find out!
*We are transported to the entrance of a stone cave. *
NARRATOR: Jesus was put to death on the cross on Good Friday. After he died, his body was placed in a tomb and sealed tight by an enormous, heavy stone.
A stone is rolled into place, covering the entrance.
NARRATOR: Two days later, on Easter Sunday, Jesus鈥 friends and disciples found the huge stone rolled to the side and Jesus鈥 body nowhere to be seen.
*Jesus is seen walking with two of his disciples. They are amazed when they realise it is him *
NARRATOR: In the days that followed, Jesus was seen alive and well by his disciples. Christians believe that on Easter Sunday, God raised Jesus from the dead, confirming that there is life after death for all who follow him.
