Rodd wants to learn drumming but the children need to learn counting. See how Rodd makes both things happen by using drum beats and clapping to count on in ones and twos. Talkie Time is a new style of playful learning for school or home which requires you to participate by reading the onscreen cues and doing the actions with your children.

Students could be given other music tracks to clap sums to. Students could take it in turns calling out sums and everyone else could count the claps. Depending on how many students there are, whistles or drumsticks and drums could also be used. Double and triple claps could also be introduced if they make sense in the context of the sum. For example, for ‘5 + 3’ students could clap in time to the music five times, then do a triple clap.
