Shapes of coins

The 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 拢2 coins are circular.
Some coins have many edges.
A 20p and 50p coin have 7 edges each where as the 拢1 coin has 12 edges.
Example 1
Here are some amounts of money you can make with just two coins.
1p + 1p = 2p
2p + 5p = 7p
10p + 50p = 60p
Can you make other amounts using two coins each time?
Example 2
Which one of these coins is the odd one out?
2p, 5p, 30p, 50p
30p is the odd one out as there is not a 30p coin.
