Ask pupils comprehension questions about the film trailer. The style of these could be ticking the words they hear from a list provided; a gap-fill exercise; matching sentence halves taken from the script; or identifying which sentences are ‘True’, ‘False’ or ‘Not mentioned’. Extract some sentences from the clip and ask pupils to translate them into English. Students could follow up these writing tasks by creating a poster comparing UK schools to those in the German-speaking countries.
