Product analysis
Research from analysing existing products can be collated and used to inform your design specification and design ideas.
Sketching and modelling
Designers use many techniques to create products and solve problems. Sketches are used first. The final design will have working drawings and parts lists to manufacture the design.
Formal drawing and computer aided design (CAD)
Formal drawings are a more precise style of drawing. They can be produced by hand or with computer aided design (CAD) packages.
