Mike Rimmer is the latest addition to the presentation team at 大象传媒 WM where he presents the early Sunday show and pops up from time to time to cover other programmes. He was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne and after graduating from Leeds University with a degree in English and Theology, he tried a number of jobs but had already been bitten by the radio bug. Making Birmingham his home in 1989, he spent the nineties lecturing at Matthew Boulton College and his free time developing his talents on BHBN Hospital Radio and setting up a dozen Restricted Licence stations that broadcasted at special events. Since 1998 he's worked full time in the media, working as a freelance broadcaster on community radio in Stoke and on a Europe wide satellite radio station. He also works as a music journalist writing features and CD reviews for magazines and is recognised as one of the UK's leading authorities on gospel music. He estimates that he listens to about 120 new albums every month. But then he loves music! Away from the radio, Mike and his wife belong to Church Alive in Birmingham and to relax they enjoy hanging out with friends and think there's nothing better than a good balti, a glass of wine and the latest movie.
