It's all part of the third annual Black Country Big Book Fortnight A two-week long event, libraries and venues across Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley and Sandwell will host a series of special talks with literary figures, beginning Tuesday 15th May 2007. Kate Long - best-selling author of Bad Mother's Handbook which was recently televised and starred Catherine Tate - will be among the top names visiting Wolverhampton. Kate will talk about her books and her life and answer questions from the audience when she visits the Low Hill Library at Showell Circus on Thursday 24th May from 5.30pm - 6.30pm.

Other top authors include Paul Hartnett who will be performing his poetry at Wolverhampton's City Bar in King Street on Wednesday 23rd May from 7.30pm. Maureen Carter, former 大象传媒 journalist and Newsnight presenter, and crime author Margaret Murphy will also be making appearances. In addition, thriller writer Roger Ellory, local author Jim Parkes and author and actress Barbara Ewing will all be appearing. All of the events are free.
