Listen again to rock band Aura's live performance on 大象传媒 WM Introducing. Vocalist Dave Small talks of touring Europe, recording with Gavin Monaghan and supporting Status Quo.

大象传媒 WM Introducing welcomed the first band of the New Year to play live in session on Thursday 10th January 2008.

Rock 'n' blues four piece Aura shook the studios with a powerful set - full of confidence, style and attitude.

The four West Midlands lads, three of whom are still in full-time education, have only been together for 11 months but have been busy gigging on the local circuit and beyond.

They recently recorded a five track EP with music guru Gavin Monaghan (The Editors, Scott Matthews, The Twang) and are preparing to embark on a European tour in February 2008.

Arguably Aura's biggest claim to fame though is supporting rock legends Status Quo at Dudley Castle before 5,000 people in the fall of 2007.

Speaking live on 大象传媒 WM Introducing, vocalist Dave Small said:

"It all started really when we did a gig at Stourport Rock Cafe. In the audience were two guys who were running the Status Quo gig. They saw us and they were looking for a young support act to get the crowd going for the Quo.

"It was by far the biggest crowd (we've ever played before). For me personally it felt nothing other than right! It was a brilliant venue - brilliant sound. It rained a bit but you know! (laughs)

"But we've been gigging as much as possible, from everything from pretty much in people's living rooms to the Quo gig. We're just trying to get every gig we can, build up as much of a following as possible and take it from there."
