For my Mexican themed dress I researched Mexican dresses and the Day of the Dead. The shapes of the dresses I saw inspired me to have a kind of ruffling effect. The day of the dead was magnificent and inspired me to do big eye catching colours and patterns. I also gathered that Mexican clothing is quite colourful so that is why I chose bright hot colours. I used feathers because they are a soft and interesting texture to normal fabric and I thought they would be different. I liked the idea of peacock feathers so I drew them on the back of my dress and the top (front). I also drew them on the arm bands.
