My circular pattern was inspired by the flower Marigold used in the Mexican 'Day of the Dead', the Marigold is an offering placed on the graves of relatives. I focused on bright colours to reflect the celebratory approach the Mexicans take towards the afterlife, and the use of colour in Williamson's work.
