Design a t-shirt to be shown on the catwalk during London Fashion Week.
'Your Label', the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast project which gives a group of young people the chance to design their own collection and show it on the catwalk during London Fashion Week, is back for its second year.
The team have been selected and they've started to design their range under the brand name 1Wo/Man.
Alongside their collection they'll be showing a 'diffusion' range of t-shirts to complement their designs. The shirts will be professionally printed, sold in aid of Children in Need and featured in the catwalk show.
They want you to design the t-shirt collection.
The team have produced and a statement about the collection to inspire your designs but it's up to you to interpret the themes in any way you wish.
The winning 12 designs chosen by the Your Label team will be the ones which they feel show the most originality and artistic flair, best compliment the moodboards, and combine with other chosen designs to form a cohesive range.
The Prize:
You will receive invitations to the catwalk show in London for you and a guest to see your t-shirt on the catwalk and you'll get a professionally printed t-shirt bearing your design from the collection. We will pay your reasonable travel expenses to come and see the show.
How To Enter:
- Using the moodboards as inspiration, design a graphic for a t-shirt on A4 paper using no more than three colours.
- Scan or photograph your design and upload it to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast tagging it 'your label design'.
- Send by post with details of name, age and email address to: 'Your Label T-shirt competition', ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast Online, MC3 D2, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TS. Proof of posting will not be taken as proof of entry.

Your Label T-Shirt Competition Rules
- This competition is open to UK residents only and complies with the .
- You must be between 13 and 19 years old to enter Blast competitions by the closing date. If you are under the age of 16 you must obtain permission from your parent/guardian before you enter this competition. Proof of age will be required if you are one of the selected winners in the competition.
- To enter the competition, design a graphic to be printed onto a T Shirt. Draw an image which you think interprets the design brief set by the fashion team. Please read our pages for the actual brief. Upload your design to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast website. Or post your design, with your name, age and email address to: 'Your Label: Fashion Design Competition’ ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast Online, MC3 D4, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TS.
- All designs must be presented in no more than 3 colours and files uploaded to the website should not exceed 1MB. If you are posting a copy of your design, please ensure that your design is no larger than A4.
- By submitting a design to the Blast Fashion website, you are agreeing to allow the ´óÏó´«Ã½ to use your design or part of your design on T Shirts for sale to the public with proceeds going to Children In Need, ´óÏó´«Ã½ websites, related ´óÏó´«Ã½ TV broadcasts and publicity material and on clothing produced as part of Blast's 'Your Label' fashion range. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ may sub-license this right to produce or promote Blast Fashion or the 'Your Label' range. By submitting your design, you grant the ´óÏó´«Ã½ this right for the full lifespan of the Blast Fashion project and website. You will not receive any royalties if the ´óÏó´«Ã½ uses your design, but you will keep the copyright in your design.
- Entries must be entirely your own original work and must not breach any copyright or third party rights. All entries must be suitable for publication on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast website and public screening. The content must also be suitable for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast users aged 13 - 19, and the designs must not include any defamatory or offensive content.
- If you wish to enter this competition you must provide the ´óÏó´«Ã½ with your name and email address (or contact phone number if applying by post.) Under 16s must also provide consent and contact details of their parent or guardian to enter. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will only ever use your personal details for the purposes of administering this competition and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without your permission. - Entries cannot be returned so remember to keep a copy.
- The deadline for receiving entries for the competition by any route is 5pm on Friday 17th July 2009. Results will be announced on this site within 4 weeks of the closing date. **Please note this competition is now closed.**
- The winners will be selected by a two stage judging process. In the first stage entries will be shortlisted and the shortlisted entries will be placed on the website accompanied by the name of the entrant. In the second stage a panel of judges will then choose up to 12 finalists. The 12 finalists designs will be featured on the final 'Your Label' t shirt collection. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The panel will not be influenced by any peer rating or comments on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast website.
- All entries will be judged on the following criteria:
- A strong, imaginative design which must be presented in no more than 3 colours.
- must show flair, creativity, versatility and originality.
- must be appropriate for both boys and girls aged from 13 to 19
- must reflect the theme as explained in the brief.
- must be in accordance with the brief.
- Winners and/or their parents/guardians where applicable will be contacted personally by email (or phone if application is made by post).
- The prize(s) must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives.
- The finalists' designs will be printed onto a limited collection of t-shirts to be sold on the 'Your Label' website and all proceeds will go to Children In Need. Finalists will get a free t-shirt with their design on it. Please note that although the designs used will be printed from the original designs submitted, the Blast Fashion Team may change colours and size for the final design to best fit on the T-shirt. Some of the winning designs may also be used on other clothing in the range to be displayed during the 'Your Label' catwalk show.
- The finalists, accompanied by one guest each, will be invited to attend the 'Your Label' catwalk show at On|Off which will take during September 2009 at a London venue to be decided. The guest accompanying entrants under 16 must be a parent or guardian. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will provide accommodation if required and reimburse reasonable travel expenses.
- The ´óÏó´«Ã½ does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to the internet or postal service. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
- Entrants must supply full details as required above, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize(s). No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently. Proof of age or eligibility may be required.
- This competition is not open to employees or contractors of the ´óÏó´«Ã½, members of the Blast Fashion Team or anyone involved in the running of the competition, or their direct family members.
- The ´óÏó´«Ã½ reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, or change any of the rules or procedures if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control.
- Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition
- These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This competition is administered by the ´óÏó´«Ã½.
- Designs shortlisted for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast - 'Your Label: Fashion Design Competition will be showcased by ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast during and after the competition. Make sure you read the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast Showcase agreements before taking part in this Fashion Design Competition.
- Blast fashion design competition is conducted in line with the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Code of Conduct for Competitions and Voting.
