The shape of the dress is inspired by the shape of Mexico and also one of Mexico's main exports; chillis. I used a rose on the back of the dress and in her hair because of the roses Mexican ladies wear in their traditional costumes. The green halterneck style at the top of the dress is based on the top of a chilli. The red wrap around at the top of the dress has flames on it to represent the heat of a chilli. The colours at the bottom of the dress are red, yellow, and orange because they are warm colours and Mexico is a warm country. The red and green colours at the bottom of the shoes are used because Mexico's main exports are limes and chilli's and tomatoes.
