Olaf Parker

Olaf Parker is an established fashion designer/director and consultant.
He was originally trained as a textile designer specialising in print design, working on projects and commissions for independent designers and fashion houses such as: Karl Lagerfeld, Guy Laroche, Jean Louis Scherrer, Tissu Boussac, Cristian LaCroix, Chanel, Ally Capellino, Patrick Kelly, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein.
He founded the iconic and influential menswear label "Burro" with his wife Su in 1990 and continues in the role of designer/creative director for the brand.
Throughout the 90's the Burro store in London's Covent Garden became a mecca for fashion aware Londoners, stylists, journalists and musicians.
The Burro collection was shown twice a year in Paris at Paris Men's Week.
Burro's has an international client base although the bulk of the sales are in the UK and Japan.
Burro ended the retail side of the business in 2005 to concentrate on collaborations, licenses and consultancy work. Clients have included: Hopuse of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Sergio Tacchini, Boxfresh, Ships (Japan), Beams (Japan), HK Seibu (Hong Kong), Collette (Paris), Urban Outfitters, Ellesse (UK), Kickers, JD Sports and Lonsdale (Japan).
Olaf has also worked extensively in fashion education lecturing and mentoring at Central Saint Martins, UCCA Rochester and UEL.
