Title: GCSE mock art exam

This was my art exam inspired by Rowan Mersh, a fabric sculptor. I decided to stick to the colour navy, and focus on the different textures of the fabrics. I used cotton, velvet, and a thin shiny thing. The small balls are pearl beads, and the bigger balls are polystyrene balls that i painted silver and then wrapped in fishnet tights. It doesn't look as good on a picture as it does in real life, and it's meant to be worn as a brooch type thing. Hope you like it:) Leave comments please!!

Looks good Roomi! it looks intricate. It would be interesting if you now took this a step further and enlarged everything by 30%0-500% (3-5 times bigger) and see how the much larger shape could become a top or skirt or dress.
It's good to take small fabric manipulations and blow them up huge so they become human size or bigger.

Roomi, thanks for your comment :D and that's exactly what I'm going to do actually :) because it wasn't up to an A* my art teacher said that i have to improve it, and that's what i chose to do. i'm just going to make a simple shift dress i think.

I would say it is actually about one and a half feet tall, and yeah, it is intricate! it took me ages to figure out how to attach all the seperate parts and make it look tidy and clean cut, but i'm very pleased with the results, at the moment it's very delicate though.
