Title: Rizzle Kicks Album Art

After reading and watching some info on the fresh unsigned duo, I had a few ideas on what I wanted to achieve. Something simple and with elements of their music. Originally I wanted to go for a dark colours such as black, dark purple with some hints of bright colours here and there. But I changed my mind and reversed the idea and thought that having a bright background with a bright logo could make their album stand out. I scanned a piece of paper and used that to create a messy but crisp feel, this ties in with the typography of the logo. So the background symbolised the indie element of there 'indie-hop' music. I did wonder if this whole, slightly messy look would fit in with their style so I did a quick search on Google and found their previus album art. The 'chalky' text on the wall kind of gave me the 'green light' to go for it. Afterwards I decided that a repeated image of Rizzle Kicks could be a subtle part of the background. This was because I think that if the album art was replicated into printed t-shirts (or other merchandise) then the repeated image of Rizzle Kicks background could carry on around the the entire t-shirt. The logo has lightning bolts on it to represent the electric tones of their music. I remember Rizzle Kicks saying they did a lot of their own photos and liked messing about with the hues and tones of their photos so I changed one of their pictures into a black and white and cut around it to make it part of the album. Overall I think it's lacking a little something, I'm not sure what that is, maybe some extra colour? I don't know right now, but I decided to enter the piece anyway. Thanks.

Thank you passionfruit7, your comment means a lot. I'm glad you liked the colours and can see how I tried to link the effects of the album art with the band. Thanks again for your comment, I didn't think I would get any, LOL.
