The Floating Chapel (Part 1) : So this is just the start of The Floating Chapel, the children's story I am writing on the message board, it's five minutes long, hope that's not too long. Please don't think I'm trying to be Krazmaz because that's just impossible. And don't feel like you have to listen, because it is quite dull. But I just thought it would be good to kind of lower the bar a little and hopefully others will have a go too. I'm sorry about the mistake midway, but I make a lot of mistakes on the board so I thought it was just fitting of my character any how so I thought never mind. I hope this doesn't put off anyone reading my writing in the future. xkim

Lower the bar? Put people off? Don't feel like you have to listen? Buck up girl! You're sounding like me, now.

I, for one, had a rum time! And you don't sound posh. So TAKE THAT.

Please miss, can I have some more?

Seriously though, this is great! Don't put yourself down - just think, you're a pioneer like Krazmaz! Also, everyone makes mistakes - My first book review took about 18 goes to get it "right" (I use the term subjectively)
Just build your confidence up, and you'll be doing flawless recordings in no time. Keep up the good work!

Kim, you sound a bit like me when I speak on tape! I'm intending on posting something up here, so don't worry, we can be mildly posh together. You have a lovely voice, so please don't worry about posting up again! This is an excellent story also. I hadn't looked at this on the boards, so I might just listen to the extracts you record instead.

Lol..mildly posh. Tee hee. And tired. Maybe. Ha. I am actually tired of essay writing, which doesn't seem to end, can't find the words.

Thank you for listening, but I am not intending on doing any more. I rather like just posting the words up and letting them speak for themselves. I think my writing stands up better that way.

Kim - this is marvellous! It was a real thrill to hear your voice after so many years of talking on Blast! You read beautifully and krazmaz is right in his podblast on how to podblast - no one cares if you make the odd mistake - it's all part of the joy of listening to stories.

Of course, at some point, if you really want to get technical, you can look up how to edit on the Audacity wiki - it's surprisingly easy.

But for now - wonderful, wonderful stuff!

      Hey Kim
I love this - you read it beautifully. More audio book material. I agree with whitefire - your voice is very melodious.

And I'm probably going to post something on here soon - I'm not sure what to use yet though!

And for what its worth, I wouldn't say your posh you're well spoken, which is not a bad thing :D I like this, well done. And good luck with the essay writing. x
