Title: Ed Sheeran Design

When listening to Ed's interview and music I got the feeling that his style is a unique and perfect balance between earthiness and youthfulness. I chose to do Ed’s design on the basis that these 2 elements are hardly ever seen together in design as they are so different; the earthiness would involve distortion with a brown palette, whereas the modern side would mean straight vectors and bright colours. This challenge was too hard to resist. I used Corel Paintshop Pro X2 because not only have I been using it for many years but today, if you have an idea in your mind and the willpower, you can get high-quality design solutions. One of the main points about using design is that you can achieve a traditional look; I have used this in my design placing the portrait photo in a Polaroid frame and musical notes in a speech bubble underneath (to give the appearance of stickers) because the photo also looks like he is singing or humming. I have also inserted a bracelet, from his interview Ed seemed to have a strong tie with bracelets and their meaning; they also capture the balance between the two sides of Ed.
