Title: Colour Me

I’m currently studying photography at college and it is my dream to become a successful photographer, photography isn’t just taking a picture to me, I would like to inspire and hopefully move people with my photos. I had a lot of fun with this competition and the reason I chose Ed Sheeran is because he said he likes to create lyrics that make you think. The idea behind my photograph was to represent his lyric ‘You need me I don’t need you’. My male model represents a stronger more independent person (I don’t need you ) where as the female model represents a dependent and some might say weaker person ( You need me ). I also liked how Ed Sheeran describes his lyrics with colour. I used the colours red and yellow on the male model as these stand out more and to me reflects independence, whereas on the female model I used blues and greens which are more natural and calming. I think it would make a good album cover because the colours jump out and catch your eye.
