I have chosen to design an album cover for Rizzle Kicks because they are quite versatile and many designs would suit their type of music. I liked the idea that they sing songs about every-day life, this made them feel quite down to earth. Although their music is very down to earth I don’t think an album cover symbolising this would work for them. Because although the words in the song explain real life; the feel of the music is more upbeat than earthy. I decided to repeat Rizzle Kicks portraits to portray the repetitive solid beats in their music. The transparent images in the background allows each of their faces to be separate then the picture in the foreground shows that they are together in their music and as a band. The font, I felt was very tied into the type of music they produced it being kind of techno and beat inspired. I used orange as the background colour because it contrasted with the blue of the font and the lighting and opacity of the image, making it fun and playable. I think the orange band in the middle illuminates Rizzle Kicks whole image by highlighting their mouths and expressions showing that they enjoy making music. In conclusion, I think that the album cover symbolises the type of music Rizzle Kicks produces and the look that they are attempting to create and be recognised by.
