Title: Rizzle Kicks

I decided to design a CD cover for Rizzle Kicks because I like their style which is very unique and random which I thought would give me the opportunity to expand on a basic idea and came up with something which would catch the eye of prospective buyers – established fans who already know about their music and just browsers who are flicking through CD’s who are basically in the store with money to spend and this would draw them to picking it up to look at more closely. It was quite difficult at first to come up with the a good eye catching unique cover which to me summed up the whole essence of who the band is but I finally decided upon using Serif Applications for creating and putting together my design. I only used two effects – Filter and colour balanced. Black and white was used for the background for a subtitle effect which would make you look more closely at the detail after the initial eye contact of the coloured image of Rizzle and Sylvester. Red was used for the title so it would stand out and make a good contrast with the background and again catch the eye.
